Metaphysics

Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the fundamental nature of reality, including the relationship between mind and matter, substance and attribute, fact and value. It explores questions about the nature of existence, reality, causality, time, space, and the relationship between the physical and the abstract aspects of reality.

Historically, metaphysics has been a central area of inquiry in philosophy, addressing questions that go beyond the scope of empirical science. Metaphysical questions often revolve around concepts like reality, existence, identity, causality, and the nature of being. Some key topics in metaphysics include.

Ontology. Ontology is the study of being and existence. It asks questions about what entities exist and how they can be grouped, classified, and related to one another.

Cosmology. Cosmology deals with the study of the universe as a whole. It explores questions about the origins, structure, evolution, and eventual fate of the universe.

Epistemology. While traditionally considered a branch of philosophy on its own, epistemology also intersects with metaphysics. Epistemology deals with the nature of knowledge, belief, and justification. Metaphysical questions related to epistemology often involve inquiries into the nature of truth and reality.

Mind-Body Problem. This is a classic metaphysical issue concerning the relationship between the mind and the body. It asks questions about the nature of consciousness, the self, and the relationship between mental and physical states.

Free Will and Determinism. Metaphysical questions related to human agency, free will, and determinism revolve around whether human actions are predetermined or if individuals have the freedom to make choices.

Reality and Appearance. Metaphysics also explores the distinction between appearance and reality, questioning what can be known about the true nature of things beyond our perceptions.

Metaphysical inquiries often delve into abstract and complex concepts, and different philosophical traditions and thinkers have proposed various theories and solutions to metaphysical questions. These inquiries continue to be a significant part of contemporary philosophy, influencing fields such as philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, and even areas of physics and cosmology.

On the main site I am starting a new category under the term Metaphysics and various understandings and philosophies, from understanding reality, to life beyond our planet, existence and more. It will be a very exciting journey and ties in neatly with the craft and what has been suppressed.
